Welcome
The Surveying & Mapping Industry Council of NSW (SMIC NSW) is the peak spatial information industry body in NSW, with representatives from government, private industry, professionals and the tertiary education sectors.
SMIC NSW receives its funding from its constituent organisations in accordance with its Constitution.
The inaugural meeting of the NSW Council was held on Thursday 5 November 1987. The Council originally comprised six representatives of Institutions/Associations together with four Government representatives. Since its formation the Council has grown to include the education sector and a wider scope of representation from private and government sectors.
