The Surveying & Mapping Industry Council of NSW (SMIC NSW) is the peak geospatial information industry body in NSW, with representatives from government, private industry, professionals and the tertiary education sectors.


SMIC NSW receives its funding from its constituent organisations in accordance with its Constitution.





From 1st January 2020, The Geocentric Datum of Australia 2020 (GDA2020) is Australia’s new national datum which replaces GDA94.
